Aterim delivers turnkey employment solutions for the Esports World Cup 2026

Recruiting, onboarding, and managing several hundred professionals on short notice: that was the challenge assigned to Aterim for the Esports World Cup (EWC), the largest international event in competitive gaming. Every year, the EWC brings together the best clubs to compete against each other in a wide range of video games for the biggest prize ever offered in the discipline. The event is a true celebration that brings together fans and enthusiasts from all over the world.
Originally scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia, the 2026 edition of the EWC was relocated to Paris, France just weeks before its start. Thanks to its flexibility, transparency, and rapid execution, Aterim supported the organisation by facilitating employment for international talents and managing local recruitment and staffing.
From international staffing to comprehensive local employment services
Within just a few weeks, Aterim delivered employment services for international talent arriving from around the globe to build and manage the event. Simultaneously, Aterim executed rapid hiring and employment services across key operational functions, including ticketing, booth activations, hosting, and venue support, ensuring seamless execution.
To achieve this at scale, Aterim's team processed over 3,000 applications, conducted 800+ interviews, and successfully onboarded and managed 336 professionals. Aterim took care of every step of the staffing cycle, covering sourcing, candidate interviews, contract administration, scheduling, payroll, and real-time on-site management, to keep operations running smoothly throughout the competition.
